POM – Now Available in Liquid Form
For the first time, Polyoxymethylene (POM) building blocks can be integrated into liquid polyether polyols, unlocking new  possibilities for high-performance applications.

  • Molecular weights from 1000 to 4000 g/mol

  • POM content up to 50% for tailored formulations

  • Lower carbon footprint compared to classic PPG

Enhance Your PU Adhesives with POM-Polyol
Integrating POM-polyol into PU adhesives offers significant performance benefits for different adhesives. Compared to conventional PPG, POM-polyol based PUs provide:

  • Higher tensile shear strength and faster drying for improved processing and stronger adhesion in less time

  • Miscibility with PLA, not observed for conventional PPGs, enabling novel sustainable adhesive formulations with PLA

  • Better compatibility with PE & PP, allowing for better processing, e.g., for packaging material because of higher hydrophobicity

  • Better recyclability, due to homogeneity of recyclate in mechanical extrusion at end-of-life

POM-Polyol 2000

Our Polyetherpolyol features Polyoxymethylene (POM) building blocks, offering benefits in different products and application areas:

  • Enhanced Hydrophobicity for improved water resistance

  • High IR Reflection & Absorption for better thermal regulation

  • Selective Gas & Vapor Permeability for precise diffusion control

POM integration enables provision of POM’s unique properties in liquid form. Replacing 30-50% of propylene oxide with POM further reduces the CO2 footprint by 40%, with even greater benefits using green methanol sources. A breakthrough for high-performance materials.

Kg-samples available with molecular weights of 1000-4000 g/mol.

Enhance Your TPU
Formulations with POM-Polyol

Integrating POM-polyol into TPU formulations offers significant improvements in mechanical performance while maintaining a comparable Shore A hardness. Compared to conventional PPG, POM-polyol based TPUs provide:

  • Higher elastic modulus at 100% and 300% strain, for improved stiffness and shape retention

  • Lower elongation at break, enhancing dimensional stability

  • Higher melt volume rate (MVR) for better flow behavior

  • Increased tear resistance, leading to greater durability in demanding applications

  • Shore A hardness, ensuring a balance between mechanical strength and flexibility
